I did all this and it still didn't work. :/ Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Going to try messing with Avast permissions to see if it'll fix it.

Fixed! If using Avast, make sure to exclude Hamachi and Diablo folders and also turn off your 'Network Sheild'

Your colour fix is way outdated and old.Get the official fix from Blizzard, it's a lot more convenient and works better:http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/rainbow-or-washed-out-colors-windows-7

While their fix is certainly more convenient, it reads in the notes:"Note: This registry key will only work for Diablo version 1.09. If you have an earlier or later version, the compatibility mode will not work. It also does not work on the game's cinematics. Alt+tabbing may cause it to go back to having washed out or rainbow colors."If you want to run a different version (if you want to dupe items, for example), or Alt+Tab frequently, the above is more convenient. It also fixes the cinematics, which the registry key does not do. Cheers

Personally I've never had a problem with alt-tabbing or the cinematics. And you can still dupe in 1.09, you just can't put 2 duped items in the game world at the same time, but there's nothing forcing you to do that.

Still doesnt working here.. Still says that cant load blablabl IPX.

Click "Start" -> Go to "All Programs" -> "Diablo" -> Right-Click the "Diablo" game shortcut and click "Properties".Step 4.) Set the shortcut to run in compatibility mode for “Windows XP SP3″ and click "OK"
